Wild Wonder: Natures Patterns

Nature is full of incredible colours, patterns and designs just waiting to be discovered. In this creative session we'll become Nature Artists, exploring the landscape with curious eyes before working together to create beautiful Nature Mandalas using fallen leaves, petals, seeds and other natural treasures. A calming and imaginative workshop celebrating creativity, teamwork and the beauty of the natural world.

Wild Wonder: Playful Nature Connection for Families This gentle and engaging family session is designed to help children and their parents or guardians reconnect with nature through play, curiosity and sensory exploration. Blending mindful nature activities with creativity and movement, the experience encourages families to slow down together, engage their senses and discover the wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors.

Led by local outdoor wellness practitioner and TEDx speaker, Tansy Dowman, the session will include a variety of playful and interactive nature-based activities suitable for mixed ages. Families may explore sensory awareness exercises, mindful movement, nature discovery games, seasonal scavenger prompts, natural mandala making and simple nature crafting using found materials from the landscape.

These sessions are recommended for ages 4 - 11. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please note, this activity will take place outside, rain or shine. Please dress suitably for the weather. Please note, you only need to purchase children a space on this workshop. Adults and younger siblings under 4 can accompany a child with a ticket for free as observers only.

Wild Wonder

Summer of Play Series

Discover, Create and Connect with Nature

Every Wild Wonder session follows the same gentle structure, giving children and their grown-ups the chance to slow down, explore and enjoy the natural world together through mindful movement, sensory discovery, creative nature crafts and moments of quiet connection.

Whilst each workshop shares the same welcoming atmosphere, every session has its own unique seasonal theme and creative activity, meaning families can return throughout the summer holidays and enjoy a different experience each time. Designed for children aged 4+ and their accompanying adult, Wild Wonder encourages curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of nature through simple, joyful activities inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Emmetts Garden.
