The Summer Solstice is a celebration of the longest day of the year. A day that symbolises light and illumination and a sense of reaching a peak and basking in the view of how far you have come.  The walk will offer you a chance to celebrate your expansion and connect with the energy of acceptance for the things that have challenged you and become part of your unique story.

The Journey

Tansy will guide you on a winding journey through forest and field with gentle hills that allow you to enjoy stunning views and breathe the expansion of the day into your physiology. A walk infused with Mindfulness, Forest Bathing and Qigong and uplifting moments of walking and talking as you explore your journey with others supported by gentle coaching questions.

The walk is approximately 5km and will be a gentle and slow walk spread over 2.5 hours so plenty of opportunities to pause, connect and come home to yourself. At the peak of One Tree Hill Tansy will guide some gentle Qigong exercises to encourage your sense of expansion and embodiment. To own who you are regardless of expectations or limiting beliefs. Embodying that sense of standing at a peak to look at how far you have come and see the path unfolding ahead of you.

Optional Lunch

We will meet at The White Hart Pub in Sevenoaks and go on a beautiful circular walk, returning to the White Hart for an optional drink and lunch if you have time to stay on with us. A chance to ease back with a community of like-hearted souls and feel uplifted with hearty pub grub and lots of laughter.

Parking

The White Hart have given us permission to park in the car park at 9:15am and leave our cars there but have asked if we can car share so we dont take up to much space so if you are coming with a friend please try to car share. I also have 4 spaces in my car and live in Edenbridge but please note I will stay on for lunch so probably wont leave until approx 1:30pm.

  • Yes I have allowed for plenty of time to cover the distance. There are a few gentle hills but nothing intense and there will plenty of time to pause and rest.

  • My events always go ahead in light rain or short showers because rain can be a welcome addition to Nature Connection and I also have great waterproof ponchos I can lend you to ensure you stay completely dry. I only cancel in the event of storms or very high winds and you would be offered a refund or an option to attend another event or I may simply reschedule it.

  • Absolutely. The lunch is completely optional so if you don’t have time even for a drink that's completely fine. I just love sitting around a table with people to enjoy food and drinks so anytime you have is fine and you will be welcome to stay as long or as little as you like.

  • Qigong is a very gentle ancient Chinese mindful movement practice that allows you to connect with a sense of flow and the elements. It is a very simple practice so no experience is necessary and we will remain standing and dont require any change of clothes or footwear. Its a great practice to bring energy to your body and feel connected to Nature and is super relaxing too.
